2000/2001:

Maurizio Vandelli, Adriano Pappalardo, Little Tony e Rita Pavone

Nos anos 2000 e 2001, no mês de junho, Maurizio Vandelli, Rita Pavone, Adriano Pappalardo e Little Tony (1941-2013), comandam o programa 'I Ragazzi Irresistibili' (TV Canale 5). Novamente Rita participa de 'Buona Domenica' (TV Canale 5).

Em 19 de outubro, Rita Pavone canta "Il geghegè" no programa 'Uno di Noi' (TV RAI 1), apresentado por Gianni Morandi e Lorella Cuccarini.

Em 3 de outubro, ensaiando para um programa da TV RAI, Rita perde os sentidos. Socorrida de imediato e hospitalizada ela é submetida a uma cirurgia cardíaca de urgência. Passados três meses do ocorrido e completamente restabelecida, Rita volta à atividade artística.

Rita Pavone em sua tournée italiana 'La Mia Favola Infinita'

Durante os meses de fevereiro, março, outubro e dezembro, Rita se apresenta, pela Itália (Milão, Nápoles, Trieste e Roma), com o seu espetáculo de despedida de carreira e autobiográfico 'La Mia Favola Infinita', onde também participam Teddy Reno e o filho Giorgio. Na televisão, o seu addio alla carriera artistica, é no programa 'L'Anno che Verrà' (TV RAI 1), em 29 de dezembro.

Aventurando-se na política, em março Rita candidata-se a uma cadeira no senado italiano, porém não se elege. Longe dos palcos, além da casa na Suíça, Rita e Teddy passam temporadas na casa que possuem em Mallorca (Espanha). O filho Alex é jornalista de TV na Suíça. Giorgio seguiu os passos dos pais: tornou-se cantor, compositor e lidera o grupo de pop-rock George. Ele já gravou dois CDs e está fazendo-se conhecer fora da Suíça.

2010:

Rita Pavone e Renato Zero

Cinco anos após despedir-se de sua carreira, com o espetáculo 'La Mia Favola Infinita', Rita volta ao palco, em 6 de outubro, no show 'Sei Zero' do cantor Renato Zero, em Roma. Renato canta "Alla mia età", do repertório de Rita e, em dueto, eles cantam "Come te non c'è nessuno", "Cuore", Che m'importa del mondo" e "Fortissimo". Rita encerra sua participação com "Mi vendo', do repertório de Renato Zero. Ela é carinhosamente recebida pelo anfitrião e muito aplaudida pelo público presente ao espetáculo. Estimulada por Renato Zero e sentindo-se vocalmente segura, esta sua apresentação a faz querer retomar sua carreira artística.

Após 20 anos da gravação do CD "RITA IS... MAGIC Live 1993", Rita volta ao mundo discográfico com o CD duplo "MASTERS" (*), com 15 canções em inglês e 15 em italiano, produzido pela Sony Music e lançado oficialmente na Itália, em 8 de outubro, com grande divulgação em revistas (entre elas a Vanity Fair, edição italiana de setembro), jornais, rádios, TVs. Rita autografa o novo disco para fãs e admiradores em outubro nos dias 9 (Milão) e 11 (Roma), em novembro nos dias 13 (Bari), 16 (Nápoles), 27 (Catania) e 30 (Turim), e em dezembro no dia 6 (Roma). Ainda em dezembro, no dia 22, Rita dá uma longa entrevista a Maurizio Canetta, produtor e apresentador do programa 'Il Gioco del Mondo', transmitido pela TV suíça RSI.

De volta à vida artística, em outubro de 2013, motivada pelo lançamento do disco "MASTERS", Rita Pavone, no primeiro semestre deste ano, continua na mídia com entrevistas em rádios, TVs, jornais e revistas italianas. Em 12 de fevereiro, a convite do Papa Francisco, Rita - bastante emocionada -, seu marido e seus filhos são recebidos no Vaticano. Na TV RAIUNO, nos dias: 28 de março e 4, 11, 17 e 25 de abril, Rita participa como jurada no programa de competição de dança 'La Pista' e, ainda em março, apresenta-se como convidada dos programas 'Ti Lascio una Canzone' e 'Roxy Bar TV'. Em 13 de abril, ela dá uma longa entrevista no programa 'Quelli che il Calcio' (TV RAIDUE) (retorna ao programa no dia 18 de maio). No dia 30 de abril, apresenta-se no Teatro della Regina, em Cattolica (Rimini), em avant premier de sua tournée 'Rita is Back', que inicia em maio com apresentações nos dias: 6 (Gran Teatro Linear 4 Ciak [Milão]), 13 (Teatro Augusteo [Nápoles]), 20 (Teatro Colosseo [Turim]) e 24 (Gran Teatro Geox [Pádua]), cantando seu material novo e alguns de seus maiores sucessos. Em 22 de junho, Rita encerra a tournée com show no Casino Rama, em Rama (Ontário), Canadá. Em 7 de agosto, Rita participa como convidada no 67º Festival del Film Locarno (Suíça).

Os programas de rádio e TV, em que Rita Pavone participa neste ano são: Maio: (8) 'Grand Hotel Chiambretti' (TV Canale 5), Rita relembra sua infância e a emoção que sentiu ao receber o telefonema do Papa Francisco, na véspera do Natal de 2013, convidando-a para visitá-lo no Vaticano. Junho: (15) 'Gatta & Company' (Radio Ti Ricordi [RTR 99]), Rita dá uma longa entrevista e declara que, após sete anos de afastamento da vida artística, volta com o disco "MASTERS"; (20) 'Donne nel Mito' (Diva Universal [SKY Canale 133]), todo dedicado a Rita - que dá uma entrevista exclusiva -, o programa é em homenagem ao seu aniversário de 70 anos comemorados neste ano; (27) 'Una Voce per Padre Pio 2015' (TV RAI 1), Rita canta "Fortissimo" e "Where is the one". In June 2000 and June 2001, Maurizio Vandelli, Rita Pavone, Adriano Pappalardo and Little Tony (1941-2013) shared 'I Ragazzi Irresistibili', a programme on Canale 5 TV. As in 1997, Rita once again takes part in 'Buona Domenica', a programme at Canale 5 TV.

On 19 October, Rita Pavone sings "Il geghegè" at 'Uno di Noi' (RAI-1 TV) presented by Gianni Morandi & Lorella Cuccarini.

Rita suffers a major cardiac arrest while rehersing a show for RAI TV, in October. She loses consciousness and is rushed to a hospital where major surgery is performed. Three months later Rita is back to her activities again.

Rita Pavone's 'La Mia Favola Infinita' Italian tour

Rita finally decides she should stop performing. 'La Mia Favola Infinita' (My Endless Fable) her goodbye show, where she celebrates her life-story, goes on the road in February, March, October and December in Milan, Naples, Trieste and Rome. Mr. Reno and her son Giorgio take part in the show. Her last goodbye is on a RAI-1 TV show called 'L'Anno che Verrà' on 29 December.

Rita decides to try her hand at politics and is launched a candidate for the Italian Senate but don't get enough votes to get elected. Rita has got a house at Spain's Mallorca where she usually spends the summer season. Alex, her oldest son, is a journalist on a Swiss TV station. Giorgio followed his parent's footstep becoming a singer songwriter in a rock band called George. He has already released two albums.

2010:

Rita Pavone and Renato Zero

On 6 October, exactly 5 years after Rita had announced her retirement on a farewell-tour called 'La Mia Favola Infinita' she is back on the stage with singer Renato Zero who convinced her to appear at his show 'Sei Zero', in Rome. He introduced La Pavone while singing "Alla mia età", then Rita joined Mr. Zero in duet in "Come te non c'è nessuno", "Cuore", "Che m'importa del mondo" and "Fortissimo". Finally, Rita stayed alone on the stage and sang "Mi vendo" from Mr. Zero's repertoire. Rita was welcomed back warmly by the public. Later, Rita declared that as Zero showed a positive opinion about her vocal skills she felt secure about her own voice and decided to return to the limelight.

2013:

After a 20-year period since "RITA IS... MAGIC Live 1993" CD, Rita is back with "MASTERS" (*), a double CD with 15 songs in English and 15 in Italian, produced by Sony Music and released in big style in Italy on 8 October (including September 2013 issue of Italian Vanity Fair). Rita made personal appearences in Milan (9 October), in Rome (11 October), in Bari (13 November) in Naples (16 November) in Catania (27 November) in Turin (30 November) and then in Rome (6 December) where she talked to fans and signed autographs for those who bought the record. Still in December, on the 22, Rita gives a long interview to Maurizio Canetta, producer and presenter of 'Il Gioco del Mondo', broadcast by RSI, Swiss TV.   

(*) On 19 November, Sony Music released a de-luxe "MASTERS" box containing 2 CDs, a 12" vinyl LP (featuring 7 songs in English and 6 in Italian culled from the CDs), a DVD and a booklet.

2014:

Due to the release of the double-album "MASTERS" in October 2013, Rita Pavone is heavily back in the media in the first part of 2014, giving interviews to Italian radios, TVs, newspapers and magazines. On 12 February, Rita, her husband and your sons are invited by Pope Francis to a special audience at the Vatican. In March, Rita appears on RAIUNO TV in 'Ti Lascio una Canzone' and 'Roxy Bar TV'. Before March is over on the 28 and April 4, 11, 17 and 25, Rita is one of the judges in the panel of 'La Pista', a dance-competition RAIUNO TV show. On 13 April, she gives a long interview to RAIDUE TV's 'Quelli che il Calcio' (she is back in the same programme on 18 May). On 30 April she appears at Teatro della Regina in Cattolica (Rimini), in what would be an avant-premiere of her brand-new show 'Rita is Back', in which she performs the songs contained in the "MASTERS" album. Then, Rita takes her 'Rita is Back' on the road: on 6 May at Milan's Gran Teatro Linear 4 Ciak; on 13 May at Naples' Teatro Augusteo; on 20 May at Turin's Teatro Colosseo and on 24 May at Padova's Gran Teatro Geox, singing her new material and some of her greatest hits. Finally, on 22 June, Rita ends her tour with a big splash at Casino Rama, in Rama (Ontario), Canada. On 7 August, Rita appears at 67º Festival del Film Locarno (Switzerland).
